Brucey contacted us on Facebook about a week ago, asking if he could do a wall piece. After seeing the live wall drawing he did here at Rocking Horse Rehearsal Rooms for Clive Aid, we jumped at the chance. It has coincided with us finishing off Room 3 so the timing was perfect. To say we’re over the moon is an understatement!

As you can see we are getting very close to completing Rehearsal Room 3. Hopefully this will be ready next week, which will coincide with our 1 year birthday. Room 3 is twice the size of our existing rooms!
Just let us know if you would like to rehearse in this room and we’ll automatically put you in there when its open. Prices are £10 an hour or £28 for 4 hours on peak and £7 an hour or £35 for 7 hours (10am-5pm weekdays, bank holidays not included).

Way back in July we had a party for the opening of our recording studio. We had bands, DJ’s and live wall drawing going on all night!
Oh yeah, we also got you all to sing your part on the classic xmas song ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ Neil (Rocking Horse’s sound engineer) then mixed it all down and polished it all up.
Well, seen as though Christmas is less a week away, we figured it was time to dig it out of the archives and release if for your enjoyment.
Admittedly it’s probably too late for a xmas number one but you can ‘like’ this and share as much as you want, especially if you’re singing on there.

Its that time of year again when everyone goes out for their xmas parties and pretends to like their workmates for a night. Well only 3 of us work at Rocking Horse so we thought we’d invite you all along to our xmas party this Friday at the Fishtank in Durham, with the bonus being we like you all (well, most of you anyway)!!!!
The usual Atic Atac Dj’s will be playing: Zero dB (Ninja Tune) and Lazy Dave (Rocking Horse) will be joined by Mark Springfield (Chesterfield).

Its that time of the month again when the Atic Atac resident DJ’s Zero dB (Ninja Tune, Fluid Oz.) and Lazy Dave descend on The Fishtank in Durham for round 3 of Atic Atac.
Expect lots of hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, reggae and plenty of electronica with phat bass!
Unfortunately due to an increase in rent, we will have to make a slight increase to our price structure. We’ve tried to keep this as low as possible and works out at an extra pound an hour.
From Friday 25th of November the new prices for Rehearsal Rooms 1 & 2 will be:
On Peak (Mon-Fri 5pm-11pm / All Day Sat and Sun / Bank Holidays)
£8 per hour or £28 for a 4 hour session
Off Peak (Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, not including Bank Holidays)
£6 per hour or £30 from 10am-5pm

We are up for round 2 of our Atic Atac nights. This month sees something special for Rage Against The Machine fans as we have Rage Against ‘Em performing the best of Rage.
Zero dB from Ninja Tune records returns this month with another DJ set, as does cornuTe, Lazy Dave and Mark Springfield, spinning Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Nu Jazz, Reggae and everything inbetween.
As always, we will be bringing our 1600w PA and entry is free!
