Anyone who’s been to Gluefactory over the last 12 months is probably as surprised as us, but it’s true – one year on, and The Fishtank still haven’t had any better offers for the first Friday of a month.

We shall be celebrating the occasion with one of our favourite acts & some bunch of chancers we can’t get rid of, shedloads of booze, birthday cake*, and whatever god-awful racket takes our whim on the night. You should come join us, cos it’ll be proper cush.

Gluefactory returns this Friday 2nd of September. Last month kicked things off nicely, although there were a few sore heads the next morning. This month we have more new local bands for your listening pleasure. We’re happy to announce young Durham band “Mexican Tea Party” will be performing live and “Jim John” will be performing an acoustic set of his material. Come nice and early for the bands, but bring your dancing shoes for rocking horse DJ’s later on.

After the success of our opening night, we’re currently looking for one or two bands to play our 2nd monthly slot at The Fishtank on 2nd September. If your interested in playing please email rockinghorserehearsalrooms@gmail.com with links to your music etc.

Tonight is the opening of Rocking Horse Rehearsal Rooms 1st club night ‘Gluefactory’ at The Fish Tank in Durham. We have live music from Club Of Rome (who smashed Clive Aid earlier this month) and The Girl From Winter Jargon. We’re getting a lot of positive feedback from a few who have seen Winter Jargon and from those who have had a listen since we posted the link. We think that they’re both great and are looking forward to them opening proceedings for us, taking us through till about 11pm. Then we’ll have Rocking Horse dj’s playing late into the night.

Doors open at 8pm (bands on somewhere between 8-11) and tonight its FREE ENTRY! We will be bringing our 1600w PA along as well. Hope to see you all there. Its going to be a good one!
